Hello and welcome!
I work with adolescents (15+) and adults who experience emotions intensely and are seeking mental health support through therapy that feels thoughtful, steady, and deeply personalized. My approach is grounded in the understanding that emotional struggles are often rooted in the nervous system, shaped by lived experience, and deserving of care that goes beyond surface-level solutions.
Many of the individuals I work with are highly self-aware and capable, yet feel chronically anxious, internally unsettled, or emotionally exhausted. They may struggle with panic, pervasive worry, social anxiety, or a constant sense of being on edge. Others find themselves caught in patterns of perfectionism, self-criticism, or people-pleasing, often feeling responsible for managing the emotions of those around them. Despite insight and effort, these patterns can feel stubborn and difficult to shift.
I frequently work with individuals whose bodies hold onto stress in quieter, more private ways, such as through dissociation or emotional numbing. These responses often develop as ways of coping with overwhelm or long-standing emotional strain, even when they no longer feel helpful. My role is to help clients understand these patterns with compassion while supporting meaningful change at the level where they originate.
A central focus of my work is trauma-informed care, including EMDR therapy, which allows us to address the underlying experiences that continue to influence emotional and physiological responses. Rather than simply managing symptoms, therapy becomes a process of helping the nervous system regain flexibility, regulation, and a greater sense of safety. Over time, clients often find that anxiety softens, emotional reactions become more manageable, and a stronger sense of internal steadiness emerges.
Therapy with me is collaborative, contained, and intentionally paced. I strive to create an environment that feels calm, attuned, and clarifying, where clients can explore their experiences without judgment and move toward change that feels both sustainable and deeply personal.
I’m glad you’re here, and I look forward to the possibility of working together.

PTSD and c-PTSD, along with Borderline Personality Disorder and Dissociative Disorders, are areas where mental health support is crucial. Individuals dealing with anxiety-related concerns, including panic attacks and social anxiety, often benefit from trauma-informed care. Additionally, those experiencing intrusive thoughts, perfectionism, and high self-criticism may find relief through EMDR therapy, which addresses emotion regulation challenges effectively.
Dr. Gabrielle offers consultation for parents and caregivers of adult children who are struggling to launch, maintain employment, or navigate intense emotional and relational challenges. Many families she works with feel stuck between wanting to provide mental health support for their adult child and being unsure how to do so without reinforcing patterns that keep everyone overwhelmed. These consultations, which may incorporate trauma-informed care principles, are designed to help caregivers better understand what their adult child may be experiencing emotionally and behaviorally, while clarifying how family dynamics can either support or complicate progress. Additionally, Dr. Gabrielle discusses how approaches like EMDR therapy can be beneficial in addressing underlying issues.

EMDR therapy from the EMDR Humanitarian Assistance Program, along with a one-year Trauma-Focused Residency at SSM Health St. Agnes Hospital, provides essential mental health support. Additionally, a DBT Intensive Training Course from PESI, Inc. complements a 2-year DBT-focused doctoral practicum, all emphasizing trauma-informed care.

Spalding University offers a PsyD in Clinical Psychology and an MA in Clinical Psychology, while Franklin College provides a BA in Psychology and Studio Art. My dissertation focuses on therapist stigma towards borderline personality disorder (BPD). This research examines the stigma clients with BPD experience and explores how mental health support can help reduce therapists' stigmatization of these clients. Additionally, I emphasize the importance of trauma-informed care and EMDR therapy in addressing these issues.
Dr. Gabrielle is under the supervision of Dr. Domenick Tirabassi (PSY508957).
