Olivier van Hauwermeiren (he/him), PsyD is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in work with high-achieving professionals who are navigating the immense pressure of their careers while quietly struggling with anxiety, OCD, or unresolved trauma. His approach is built on a "Relationship First" philosophy—grounded in the belief that while evidence-based techniques are the tools of change, a genuine, trusting therapeutic connection is the engine that drives it.
Olivier often works with those who are seen as “the strong one” in their circles; people who are navigating significant responsibilities while quietly managing anxiety, OCD, or the long-term effects of trauma. He understands that when you are used to being capable and self-reliant, the decision to seek help is often a brave departure from the status quo. His style is honest, direct, and human, moving beyond surface-level symptom management to address the underlying patterns that keep clients feeling stuck or exhausted despite their external successes.
Drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Olivier helps clients stop the exhausting fight against their own thoughts and instead move toward a life aligned with their core values. For those navigating trauma or OCD, he integrates gold-standard protocols like Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Prolonged Exposure (PE). Olivier also works with couples using the Gottman Method, recognizing that our psychological struggles often manifest most clearly in our closest relationships. He provides care in both English and Spanish.
